The Afterpast Review is a feminist youth-led magazine providing a platform for underrepresented voices, especially girls all around the world. Through this outlet, we want to provide a space where an individual is able to freely represent themselves without the fear of being judged or criticized. We hope to learn from the past, cherish the present, and create a better future where everyone is treated with respect and dignity. We will empower today’s youths to create such a change.
Our magazine is divided into three main sections: The Past (A Past of Protest), The Present (An Imperfect Present), and The Future (A Feminist Future). These sections categorize all the literary works from the main magazine into subsections highlighting a moment in time where ideas converge.

We are originally a magazine based in California, but now we operate internationally connecting over 30 U.S. states and 32+ countries. Our magazine is dedicated to feminism and empowerment in the literary world, and it contains creative works from contributors around the world. We also run a blog that explores this theme through articles and interviews with youth leaders.
